The Massengale Group Hero Run is for active and retired military, veterans, and their family and friends. Founded by MGKW in conjunction with Nixa Education Foundation, this 5k is designed to benefit local kids of active and retired military and to promote awareness and support for those who serve. ORIENTATION: Nixa Parks and Rec (Nixa Pool) 701 N Taylor Way, Nixa, MO 65714
SITUATION: 5k closed course run complete with several fitness stations.
MISSION: Complete race either individually or as a group within the time allotted and to include full completion of all fitness stations.
EXECUTION: Race Day - Sponsor arrival and set-up begins at 0600. Runners are asked to arrive no later than 0800. Opening Ceremony begins at 0830. The race begins at 0900 and ends at 1130. Closing Remarks and Winners will be announced at 1230. Tear down and cleanup will commence at 1300. A special Happy Hour for all race contestants will be hosted by Big Whiskey in Nixa from 1530 - 1900. WEAR YOUR RACE SHIRTS!
COMMAND & SIGNAL: Race staff will be in possession of radios for internal communications. First Aid will be onsite and on standby.
ROUTE
There will be 5 stations along the running route, spaced at about a half-mile apart from one another.
They won't be fun.
