DESCRIPTION:5k Run/Walk will take place on Sunday, September 20, 2015 at 9:00am. On sit
e registration and check in (for those who do not pick up their packets ear
lier) starts at 8:00am\nPACKET PICK UP\nYou’ll be able to pickup your run p
ackets on Friday, September 18th from 9am-7pm, and Saturday, September 18th
 , 2015 from 9am-5pm, at location yet TBD.\nABOUT\nSt. Louis, Missouri is a
home to roughly 50,000 individuals of Bosnian heritage. The St. Louis Bosni
ans and their families represent the Bosnian diaspora that was formed as a
byproduct of aggression on Bosnia and Herzegovina, and consequent ethnic cl
eansing, and genocide that took place in early 1990’s. Over the last 20+ ye
ars Bosnians made St. Louis their home and integrated successfully into U.S
. society by among the other things, giving back to the community, contribu
ting to the economy by creating their own businesses and setting down roots
in this city, and county. According to the St. Louis City Mayor Francis Sl
ay, the Bosnian community in St. Louis revitalized the entire South St. Lou
is City area better know as Bevo Mill. The first generation of Bosnians in
the U.S. have invested everything to ensure that their children will have b
etter opportunities and lives than they did, by immigrating to an unfamilia
r country, culture and language. Bosnian families have passed on their stro
ng work ethic to the next generation resulting in some of the most hard wor
king, well educated students who have been accepted to world renowned unive
rsities throughout the nation.\nAs a token of our support and awareness of
our Bosnian heritage, in 2014 we started a project under the name of Run 4
Bosnia, with the aim of helping hardworking students in Bosnia who are less
fortunate and cannot fund their education as well as students in St. Louis
who cannot cover the expensive cost of education in America. We hope you w
ill join us in the Run 4 Bosnia in an effort to collect funds for scholarsh
ips and help us support these students in their pursuit of higher education
.\nEDUCATION EXPO\nEducation Expo is a free and open-to-the-public event fo
r Bosnian and other high school , college students and their families. With
